“Ancient traditions, excellent vocations” is our business philosophy, our innate commitment to produce an extra virgin olive oil of excellent quality, which captures all the charm in the Salento peninsula: traditions, landscape, flavors and fragrances.

The origins

The Oil Company Schirinzi has its origins in the 60s the mill’s traditional father (Pasquale Schirinzi), located in the center of Carmiano, in Salento south of the Apulia, town particularly suited to agriculture and the production of oil and Apulian wine.

 

The growing needs of the market and experience have led, in 1978, the shift of the production plant oil at the site on the outskirts of the town of Carmiano, preserving the traditions handed down from father to son. In addition, a policy on the part of the holder, particularly attentive to the needs of customers, has resulted in the expansion of crops for olive growing and a constant renewal of plants the pressing olives.

The new generations

Since 2005, with the advent of new generations, the oil company starts its activities with a significant oil production and consistent expansion and modernization of the plant, so being able to orient towards the domestic and international markets.
Processing plants and oil production count of a covered area of 2.000 square meters and an area of 15,000 square meters discovery of relevance.

The two sons, Emmanuel (Mr. Accountant) assumed the position of sales manager and administrative, while Fabio (Dr. Agronomist) he was appointed technical manager of oil production.

 

 

The company’s production

The 40 hectares of olive groves owned by our family that extend a few kilometers from the coast of Salento, Antica Land of Otranto, together with experience in the operations of olive harvesting and pressing olives passed down for generations, allow us to obtain a pregiabile extra virgin olive oil, a fruity oil of superior category from the unique sensations and absolutely unmistakable. The plants of olive trees, over 6,000 between young and old, are mostly of Ogliarola of Salento and Cellina di Nardo, the olives are harvested by hand or by mechanical means from the tree before it’s completed the process of ripening of the fruit.
Our extra virgin olive oil from Apulia is not available in traditional commerce, much less is available in the main distribution, we turn directly to a consumer demanding and attentive to the quality of life he has chosen as a rule: Healthy prevention and wellness.
